Custom Pools attributes a great deal of their success to the community activities they are involved in and the donations they have made to help communities and families in need. To name just a few community spirited offerings: Custom Pools, working in conjunction with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, donated a 15 by 30-foot heated pool to a Dover family for their seven-year-old child afflicted with leukemia, they donated a pool for the tigers at York’s Wild Kingdom, they donated wood to help build a stage for the Prescott Park Arts Festival.

For the past three consecutive years Custom Pools has supported the New Hampshire Special Olympics Swim Meet which is held annually at the Portsmouth Indoor Pools, they help out the children in the community by providing local sports organizations with uniforms for their teams, and finally, Custom Pools, along with other community groups, helped to repair a crumbling wall in Portsmouth’s oldest cemetery. "My father always said to treat people the way you want to be treated. It comes back to you twofold," says Dave Short.
